MDOT's posted detours or alternate routes usually send traffic along state routes. Detours or alternate routes will only include local roads when there is an agreement with the local unit of government. MDOT does not suggest other local roads as detours or alternate routes; these roads may not be able to safely handle higher traffic volumes or increased numbers of trucks.

Details:   There is a lane shift for the construction of the Riverside Drive bridges. No overweight loads over Riverside Bridge at mile 97.5.  
Restrictions:   Nothing over 8.6 feet wide
Nothing over 13.6 feet high
Work will take place at night
Work is weather dependent (no rain, cold temps, etc.)

Details:   The Pleasant Valley Road Bridge is now open to traffic. There may still be shoulder or intermittent lane closures on I-96, but all bridges and ramps are open.
